Did you know Mango Languages has a translator tool? Users can type in an English sentence and then tell the translator tool what language to translate to.

Are you a vegetarian traveling to Korea? Select "English to Korean", type in  "I am a vegetarian" , click "Translate Text", and  the Korean translation appears. Print it out and take it with you  to prevent surprises at dinner while traveling! Go to the database page on our website and choose Mango from the alphabetical list.

Stop by our booth at the fair and pick up a free used book, made possible by the Friends of the Chelsea District Library. We will be there from 5:00 - 10:00pm Tuesday-Friday (August 24-27) and 2:00 - 9:00pm on Saturday.

Jerzy DrozdPlease join us for this event to bid farewell to outgoing Artists-in-Residence Nancy Seligmann and Saleem Peeradina and to welcome our incoming Artist for the 2010-2011 term: Jerzy Drozd. Refreshments will be served. Drop in!

Jerzy began his comics illustration career at 19,  self-publishing his own comic books. He has also worked for Antarctic Press on their flagship title Ninja High School. While at Antarctic Press, he and writer Tom Root (of Cartoon Network's Robot Chicken) co-created the mini-series PPV: Pay-Per-View.  He is one of the artists behind Make Like A Tree Comics, a self-publishing comics company that specializes in all-ages comics serialized online and collected in print. The Chelsea District Library is nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide equal access to quality resources that serve the lifelong cultural, educational and informational needs and interests of all people.  The Library currently serves 14,000 residents in the Chelsea district - City of Chelsea plus Dexter, Lima, Lyndon and Sylvan townships and more than 20,000 individuals visit the Library each month.  The Library's state-of-the-art facility is an access point for information including: books, periodicals, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, downloadable e-books, subscription databases as well as access to the Internet.  In addition to providing dynamic services to complement and support local schools and other important community needs, the Chelsea District Library strives to present timely, interesting and high-quality programs and events to engage and enrich the Chelsea community.
