Putting the Common Core GPS Into Practice: Visit our new Common Core hub for these professional learning sessions. Dr. Cynde Snider, Professional Learning Specialist from the Georgia Department of Education shares examples of implementation in the classroom.

 

Are you an experienced teacher interested in training new teachers? This free online multimedia course is a resource for developing mentor teachers and instructional coaches. The modules are designed for professional learning facilitators, teacher educators, and school administrators to educate new teacher mentors and coaches.

NEW GPB Education Webinar! Digital Media and the Common Core: 

August 23, 2012 at 4 PM.  

How do you navigate through the new Common Core standards and integrate digital media to support them? Join us for a lively and informative discussion on best practices. You will get a refresher on the Common Core standards and learn ways to use GPB's resources and PBS Learning Media vast library.

GPB Sports Social Media Correspondent Contest:
Is your student a Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or Tumblr ninja? Then he or she should enter our contest to be a GPB Sports Social Media Correspondent. The winner will cover our football games of the week. Have your most media-savvy students send us a photo and paragraph on why they should be selected to [email protected] by August 20th.  The winning entry will get a press pass to the games of the week, a GPB t-shirt, a live TV appearance, and a front page blog post on gpb.org.
