Money Matters . . .
by David DeVoto, Vice President

It was wonderful to see all of you at TMEA -- in the clinics, the exhibits -- and most of all, at our TODA reception! Texas Orchestra Directors know how important it is to learn from others and how to enjoy each other's company. It is a healthy balance of professionalism and fun that makes us unique and admired in the education community.
This combination is also what makes the TODA Summer Convention so special. Our President, Margaret Brown, has many exciting clinics and workshops to get you ready for the following school year. Sight Reading Ideas
by Jason N. Thibodeaux

Sight reading is a process that needs to be taught and prepared. Know the rules and have a winning strategy for your orchestra.
Sight Reading
Have a Plan / Teach a Plan
Time Keeper: Have time called at one minute in and one minute left.
NEW RULE : Director may view the score for 3 minutes before time begins
