Hope you had a wonderful holiday season, coming back to school well rested. I enjoyed getting out of the state and spending time with my blended family. Teaching them the differences between "ya'll, y'all and all ya'll" was interesting, to say the least.
TMEA has compiled a fantastic convention and the TODA Board is looking forward to seeing our members at the TODA Member Reception on . . .

An interview by Craig Needham
Give us a little background on your early life and the environment in which you grew up?
I was born into a family of educators and musicians. My Mother was a teacher, two aunts were teachers; one uncle, a principal; and one uncle, a band director/jazz musician. Growing up, music was a very important part of our lives. My brother, two sisters and I all started piano at a young age and all graduated from high school with music scholarships to colleges - the three of them with band scholarships, and me with an orchestra scholarship. My Dad died when I was six years old, so money was definitely tight in our home. However . . .
