Virginia Mentoring Partnership works throughout Virginia to increase the number of adults mentoring children, and more importantly, helps mentoring programs become more effective by providing:
- Mentor Training
- Technical Assistance/Program Support
- Promotion of Best Practices
- Promotion of Mentoring
- Resource Library
- Coordination of Advocates for Mentors and Tutors
Virginia Mentoring Partnership helps businesses, organizations, institutions and community groups:
- Raises awareness of mentoring needs in the community
- Serves as a broker and convener; gets groups involved with the mentoring program that is right for them
- Provides training and technical assistance to train employees to be high-quality mentors and/or tutors
- Keeps social costs and taxes down by assisting more youth in graduating from high school prepared to enter the workforce or college.
