April/2012

Just quick one as it is late and we have an early day tomorrow. It was a long afternoon today, but beneficial. We ended the day at Hanna's just for a quick drink. Where else in the world can you go, change your reservation from 20 to 10 and get under charged for a 25 year old single malt. Not to worry Dave, I caught it and paid the prevailing price despite your employee's attempt to bill me less. I love that place.

In the market, Spain continued to disappoint on the heels (Actually on the toes.) of poor economic news here at home. (Except for those of you who are not in the states.)

We are playing a few options ahead of earnings, gloating a bit after out big AAPL score. Keep in mind we are ONLY playing in equities we have done a lot of homework on and with the knowledge that we are in a confirmed market uptrend.

Our plays this morning include:

BRCM 5/19 37.00 call options bought at 1.15. We are expecting a nice earnings report and exciting guidance.

V 5/19 120.00 call options bought at 5.60. Consumer spending was up Q1 and personnel savings were down. That implies credit spending so Master Card and Visa should have real healthy Q 1s. Guidance could be shaky and mess this plan up, but options are like a craps game and we are here to play. After all there is a Green Flag flying.

CHK 5/19 17.00 calls SOLD at 1.74. Gas is still below 2.00 and this stock is hurting, even if they beat (Which they shouldn't) guidance should be bad. We hope.

We will know shortly.
