I Kneed My Pain Med

For the second time in one week I have risen from the basement Sherpa/Driver ranks to be take the responsibility for the Cronin Company. My lovely wife enjoyed being so trashed on Monday for her endoscopic procedure (Devin wanted to clarify it was a small camera, but it was in her throat, not other venues of miniature videography.), that she could not wait to do it again.

We all got up at 4:30 am to take my lovely to her knee surgeon so she could have her ACL tweaked.

It was her right knee and she signed her leg so they would know.

The procedure took about an hour, but while I was in charge of the Cronin Kingdom, Prince Jack was there keeping a close eye on my actions especially when I had the Queen's iPhone.

It was an early morning as last night we had a nice dinner at Hanna's (Dave is sporting a really nice Hollywood Tan.) with Ryan's dad Doug. We had a great night and the meal was special. I enjoyed a small filet with asparagus Risotto and a bottle of 2006 Caymus Special Selection. We left about 9:15 knowing that we had to get up at O'Dark Thirty.

It is making for a long day today as Devin is bed bound and I, your humble servant is meeting her every need. (And let me tell you she is needy today.) I don't know how it is at your house, but sometimes when Devin is a little incapacitated, I swear she asks me to get things that she knows can't be found. In one of her drugged up stupor moments today she asked for the thermometer. Ok, I do nut use a thermometer as I have doctors that do that for me, so I do not know where we keep it. She said it was in a white box in the tower of our master bathroom sink area.

When Devin had our master bathroom done over three years ago (That is when the parade of contractors started and there is no sign of it ever ending.) she had the counter set rather high. Now I am a little chubby guy at 5'6". All I can say is Devin's next husband must be really tall because when I stand at our bathroom sink, the counter hits me above my naval and below my breasts. There was no way I was going to be able to reach the thermometer if I ever found it.

I scoured the house for a step stool. I took everything out of the tower. There was six different boxes of band aids, 4 bottles of Advil, two cartons of Musinex, and dozens of dozens of other medical supplies, but no white box with the thermometer. I politely asked Dev where else it might be. She suggested I look in the Prince's bathroom cabinet. Nope. After two more bathroom cabinets and seeing the mess I had made in the master bathroom. I offered my neck to the blade and confessed I could not find the thermometer.

She said it was in the tower in a clear plastic box. (Yes, ten minutes earlier it was in a white box.) Now it had become clear plastic. Another climb up the step stool and low and behold, there was this little clear pill box looking thing with a device that looked a lot like a cross between an earring and a Bluetooth device. Yeah that be it.

Devin did have a lot of issues with pain management today, but she made it through and is a bit ahead of the pain at the moment. She is currently enjoying a fried egg sandwich I made her. Satisfying her needs today did not leave a lot of time for market watching so let's see what went on.

Liquid Metal=Liquid Assets

The market was off in medium volume as Mr. Market was looking to Europe for some direction. Spain (imagine that) had some bank sector debt issues. And there were a couple of soft tech earnings and mixed messages from IBM and INTC. A rather robust mortgage application number did not fool anyone as the bulk of the gain was from REFIs.

Despite the Red Flag (which will probably be around a while) we took a solid new position in AGU Agruim, that sexy stock we mentioned on Sunday night. The .9% drop today got us near a decent entry point of 85 dollars a share. We are looking for 100 by years end and more to come after that.

A few weeks ago we told you about a spec stock that MIGHT be making the back plates on the iPhone 5. Hopefully you took some Vegas Money and got in at the 15-19 cent range. It closed at 25 cents today on the following news out of South Korea.

"Traders are eying Liquidmetal Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: LQMT) following reports from patentlyapple.com that Apple's (Nasdaq: AAPL) iPhone 5 is rumored to be shifting from glass to liquidmetal.

Patentlyapple.com citing Korea's Electric Times Internet reported, "the next flagship phones of the companies are expected to adopt unprecedented materials for their main bodies, that is, ceramic for the Galaxy S3 and liquidmetal for the iPhone5, both being thin, light and highly resistant to external impacts."

Shares of LQMT are popping up 33% in early going Wednesday."

News Provided by Acquire Media Corporation

The stock finished up 66% today. We are not going to be greedy, but this is the rumor mill round 3. I will wait for the news to break when someone actually sees the iPhone 5 with a LQMT back plate and we could see a 1-5 dollar stock.

Let's keep our eye open tomorrow for more discouraging news out of Europe. If we get a really nice existing home sales number tomorrow, maybe Mr. Market won't notice the carnage in Spain and Italy?

I hear my lovely wife calling me so to quote Red Skelton (Look it up youngsters.) "Good night o one and all and may God Bless."
