Late is as late does.
Last night after I sent out the blog, I was hungry as a hound dog. It was late, 11:30ish so a light snack of left over pizza was out of the question. As I watched a recently taped old TV show, "Paladin Paladin reads the card of a man",

I started thinking that it was not that far from breakfast, so I had a bowl of Cheerios.
Anyway by the time I finished more of the Steve Job's book it well past midnight. Jack did not have practice this morning, but he had Sports Mass (yeah, I know the first time I heard that I was thinking that you sprint up for communion, tackle a couple of altar boys, back flips for your confession penenace and the rest.) at 7:00 am, so we still had to get there early. I set my alarm for 5:21 and somehow hit the off button and not the snooze button.
We scrambled to get his their by 6:45 and made it with 11 second to spare. I figured that would set the mode for the day, but when I got home the house was quiet (Except for our neighbor's dog who suffers from separation anxiety.) and I was able to get to work on the market. (More on that later.)
My lovely wife who I am grateful for every waking moment of the day, got to sleep in until almost 9:00. I was able to clean up some e-mail, clean up some dishes in the kitchen, clean up some gonkers in the back yard, and clean up a few portfolios in the Schwab accounts. Life was good.
I then got ready to head of to my new acupuncturist, Dr. Anna Chang. This lady came highly recommended by Jessica at Hannah's. I am a believer in acupuncture and I know many of you know the story of Dr. Fu and I from a couple of years ago. Well Dr. Chang is about 30 years younger and has too nice a bedside manner to be anything like Dr. Fu.
If you have never been to an acupuncturist (Sorry I started this story because that is a beoocch of a word to spell. Even spell checker can't figure what I am trying to spell.) you should go even if there is nothing wrong. I went today because I have a pinched nerve in C3,4,and 5. It is annoying and occasionally when I check traffic, my head locks in place and I am forced to drive with my head looking out the passenger door. (Professional drivers on a closed track do not try this at home.)
Because she is an MD., DO and Acu... you know the rest, she must take full medical information. So I put down all of my ailments, fat, hypertension, diabetes, etc etc. She asked why I was their and I told her about my neck and she said, I fix your blood pressure. Now ironically, that is what Dr. Fu said during my first visit. Dr. Fu looked at me and said, "You fat." I wasn't sure what she said and she said, "You fat. You have fatty river." (God strike me dead if this is not a true story) 1 2 3 4, I'm OK. I said, "Fatty River?" and she said. "No no. Fatty RIVER". It was then I realized she was saying fatty liver.
Anyway Dr. Chang is going to fix everything in 6 months. Now I am a believer and I must say Jessica is looking fine, no offense Jessica or Sean, so I am hoping that maybe Dr. Chang can work some miracles on me. I am willing to try anything to get in better shape. (Except eat right and exercise-Thank you Steve Martin.)

So I said have at it and she proceeded to stick 14 tiny needles from the inside of my ankles up my legs to right below my chest. Then she said something and left the room.
Now with Dr., Fu I knew the treat meant was for about 45 minutes, but I did not ask Dr. Chang, and I forgot to use the loo, (lieu or lew never did no which is correct, I think its loo) before going into the room. So I waited and one hour later she came back in and checked my tongue. Apparently that is how you check you liver in eastern medicine. She smiled so I guess my tongue must have been thinner?

Then she starts telling me what she wants me to start doing. First thing, NO ALCOHOL, (B#***^%#$T). I told her I just got off the wagon and ain't getting back on the wagon. Then she said "OK, you going to be hard patient." No juices, no cold fluids, only hot fluids, only cooked vegetables, soups lots of soups, no fish, seasonal fruits only and the list went on and on. So needless to say I will be easing my way into this program.
At the end of visit, I actually did like her and my neck felt a scoche better. I liked her and will be going back. In an effort for a compromise, I will be heating my wine tonight.
We are headed to Hannah's tonight as guests of Thomas Lagatta who is celebrating a birthday. It should be a good time.
