I know I am really getting lazy with this blog or e-mail and you deserve better. All I can say is we been busy. Our West Coast Boone Cronin Wedding Reception Oktoberfest Themed event was a huge success.

We ended up with about 85 people and while the alcohol consumption was down on a per capita basis compared to the Utah event, we put a serious dent in about 70 bottles of wine and a few large format bottles of booze. The per captia number might have been lower because I was not drinking. Those that know me well can imagine how I impacted that delta.

Something Special, the caterers did a marvelous job as they have for the last 6 years. They sauerkraut is spectacular and their brats and delicious. At the end of the night every year we end up with a bag of brats and sausages that remind me of the medical adage, you should never put anything in your colon that looks like a colon.

We had a great mix of people this year. Because the primary event was for the newly minted married couple, we cut back on some of the PADI list so they would not feel compelled to arrive bearing gifts, and we did not have a bunch of the barn horse people for much the same reason.

We did have many members of the Boone family as well as many of Ryan and Kristin's friend from destinations due North (Los Angeles to San Francisco). We also had a few of my golf buddies who have to suffer through my on going saga every single weekend and deserved to be rewarded with a pumpkin roll and brats. (They also came bearing nice gifts for the couple-thank you very much.)

It was another good event at the Chateau Cronin. Tonight we wrap the weekend of festivities at Hanna's (Dave and Beth could not make the event because employees called in sick-which is strange as they all looked fine at the West Coast Boone Cronin Wedding Reception Oktoberfest Themed event-just kidding) as we have dinner with our good friend from the desert, Butch and Deb. They really enjoyed the party, perhaps Butch enjoyed a bit more than Debbie. Let's just say Butch was not a drag on the per capita rum consumption last night.

As we have mentioned, The Slave Lucrum Blog will be silent next week as I am doing a road trip to Clemson, South Carolina with my buddy Ben. If time and technology allows, we will send sniggbits of our travels. But before we sign off, adios.
