We have been stupid busy with the last minute details for the Oktoberfest West Coast Boone Cronin Wedding Reception Party. I should say Devin is busy with all the details. I have just been driving up the freeway to anther lunch at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. It's funny I've seen the place in a dozen movies and read about but never made it there until the last couple of months and now I have been there 3 times.

Today I went as the invited guest to a panelist for our 401 K administrator, The Precept Group. We had a nice lunch and a few good speakers and I and another executive were up on stage fielding questions from the moderator. It was relaxing and fun.

I had to bow out a bit early and try and catch the end of Jack's football game against Orange Lutheran High. We trounced them 35-0. The we and a few friends headed back to the house for pizza and salad. Dennis and Jerene were there as they are kidnapping our small dogs for the duration of our party, and Elizabeth and Brian, friend from Utah joined us for dinner as well.

As soon as they left, jack and I started working on homework. I am helping him with a bible study report about the Tower of Babel. We had it almost complete last night about 10:39 and I had saved two hour worth of work. Then the last thing I closed on my computer for the evening was the draft of the report we were working on. It had the same file name and I inadvertently closed the document and saved the draft over the final document. We lost two hours of work.   Ouch!

Anyway we just finished (11:10PM) and though I would drop you a quick note to let you know we have not forgotten you. I'll share a quick laugh with you. Devin and our friend and reader Elizabeth were running around taking care of party to dos and Devin was using a list. I saw the list this morning and wrote on it, "Love You-Have A Good Day :')"

Elizabeth was Devin's navigator and Sherpa one today. As they were driving around, Elizabeth asked, "I wonder if he loves me too." She explained to Devin and they had a little chuckle. Yes, I love you to Elizabeth.

Ding Dong Kaddafi's Gone

I heard the news tonight and found it hard to believe. We had heard the rumors and then they were denied. Then it was going to happen and it didn't happen. Then a leak would get out and it was true and then we would find out it wasn't true. We are not talking about Kaddafi, we are talking about the European bailout. Kadaffi's demise was pretty straight forward and graphically captured on video.

The on again off again deal to be in Europe played whiplash yet again with the market today. Volume was light but still in a positive direction. The goofiness in Europe was offset by balanced economic news in the US. Housing starts up, Philly Fed up, initial jobless claims where we thought they'd be. But everyone is waiting for Merkel and Sarkozy to get their story straight and get the job done.

I owe a few of you answers to questions and some tire kicking on stock. I will get to them as soon as I can. Please keep in mind I am going off the grid next week for a Thelma and Louise road trip. I am driving with my buddy Ben for 2232 miles to South Carolina next week. While doing the homework and the blog tonight I downloaded 1837 songs for the road. I will get the answers before I leave, I hope.
