A Big Day But A Great DaySalve Lucrum

It was a blessing this morning as Devin arose to take the "children of fur" our for their morning gonkers.  I actually laid in bed until about 7:15 and it was glorious.  Devin had to get ready to do some wedding meeting thing with Kristin, so she jumped in the shower while I had the rare experience of enjoying a cup of tea while reading my Barron's.  Great issue (more later.)  Then it was my turn as I was going to the office to help set up for our first in a long time company picnic.  I got there about 20 to ten and John P. was already hard at work, Dana S. (yes he is one of the fish whisperers) had just arrived after a long night assisting in giving John K. (yes the fish whisperer returning to Ireland) a proper send off (I hear Guinness and Jameson's was involved.).  We quickly discovered we only had about 4 cups of ice for about 700 bottles of beverage.  I borrowed the company truck and headed of to the local quick shop and bought  240 pounds of Ice.  I returned to the office singing "I only have ice for you."  Badda Bing!

While it had been stupid hot most of the week we caught a little break, as the heat hit about 90ish.  Don't get me wrong it was hot.  The crew from Hanna's arrived dressed in Black.  It was like the Bedouin Restaurant Invasion.  They cooked up ribs, dogs, hamburgers, incredible salads, cookies and for dessert, they pumped out Root Beer Floats.  It was a hit.  We had about 160 people there and they all seemed to have a great time.

Devin and Jack had another party to go to and I eventually caught up with them there.  One of our readers Hanna, had a Birthday Graduation other stuff day party.  I t was nice time.  She probably won't be reading this today as she was having about 25 friends heading over for a party.  Chances are she won't even see this until in the middle of the week.  She is one bright young lady who is making her way through John Mauldin's Book "End Game" about the collapse of international sovereign debt.  Now all of you folk who complain about this blog being too long, Hanna is 18 and does not find my drivel much of a challenge.  Way to Go Girl.  (PS she wants to have Ben Bernanke's job when she grows up.)

After the party, I headed over to Hanna's to check on my friends to see if they survived and they did.  Dave Hanna had not fired up his Cray Computer so we did not know what all the damages from the BBQ were.  He said we could settle up this week.  That will give me some tome to dell a few homes and cars and credit default swaps to come up with the cash.

OK, now lets get into this Barron's.  NOT, I'm tired and hittin the sack.  Hope you had a great Saturday.
