Wanted:Worker Bees Not Lazy Sloths
Yeah we were going to post last night (Friday) but a nice meal at home and the family playing scrabble got me wankered out and I chose to skip the post.
As we mentioned Friday was our scheduled day off. The first thing I did when I got up was to check on the WGO action from our over corrected value play. Apparently there was another 5% to the down side to squeeze out. We felt bad as this was OPM (Other People's Money) though I was in as well. It did not get much uglier than that all day and we closed down 4% in the positions. I ran the idea by Devin and she said "Winnebago with gas at 5 bucks a gallon? Are you nutz?" And it's because of that kind of loving support that we have managed to stay together so long.
Devin had said earlier in the week, "If I had a hundred worker bees I could get this house in order." Well, I gave her myself in lieu of a hundred worker bees. We did all kinds of chores and watched the trash man take away our big blue dumpster. It was a sad moment.
I volunteered to drive all over and pick up things like anew bamboo cutting board to replace the one actually used. I did not know our new cutting board was just for looks, so I actually used it one night. After I got the fire breathing hydra back in Devin's skull I told her we could get new bamboo cutting board. Viola, we have a new one.
Then I went to pick up two bikes we were having reconditioned from the flood. They were not ready as we were told to believe. So now we must wait few more days before we can pedal our little hearts out. As you can imagine, I am heart broken.
I also built some plastic shelves for the garage. No real tools to speak of but I felt quite handy when they were done. I even got some painter tape and signed my name. "Shelves by Brian." Eat your heart out Martin. (Our faux painting artist.)
Then we had a great night as my fourteen year old man child asked if we could have a family night. So we stayed home, had some salad and lasagna and played scrabble until about 11:00. That is why there was no post last night.
Tomorrow is Father's Day and I hope to watch McIlory do what he could not do in Augusta and win the US Open. I also hope to finishes what so far has been a great edition of Baron's and of course post my Sunday night prognostications for the week. If I can get this week correct it will be four weeks we have called the market. Now if we could only make a buck or two that would be great.
