Recommendations from the Domestic Violence Death Review Panel
In March 2010, EVA BC's Executive
Director, Tracy Porteous, participated in BC's first Death Review Panel which
was established as part of the Domestic Violence Action Plan initiative of the
Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.
The panel reviewed cases that took place in BC between 1995
and 2009, and advised the Chief Coroner on medical, legal, social welfare and
other matters that may impact public health and safety with the goal of
preventing future deaths.

Worker Safety Survey
EVA BC is currently conducting a survey on safety in the workplace designed specifically for the anti-violence sector. It looks for workers' personal experiences of work-related violence and preventative measures, as well as training and policies that may be in place in your organization.
