Join our Lole Spring Event April 18 

Don't miss Lole's "Step into Spring" event on Wednesday, April 18 from 10am to 8pm.

 

Shop from the new 2012 spring collection, win prizes and enjoy healthy snacks and refreshments.

 

At 6pm join us for a leisurely walk to Waverly Park. Kim from Lole and Kathy, the assistant coach fom LU's women's basketball team, will lead the way.  Participants will also receive a free gift.

A few days ago, the Retail Council of Canada threw a challenge to independent retailers..."ask your customers to nominate you for the 2012 Ambassador of the Year Award."  And so we are.

 

"The Ambassador Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a local independent retailer to his or her community.

 

The recipient is seen as a visionary, an innovator, and an integral part of the community that his or her business serves. Recipients are known for their community involvement, customer loyalty, and support of locally made products and services.

 

"... this individual or business must embody the true spirit of entrepreneurship and community service required to be recognized as an ambassador of the retail industry."

On Friday, May 11 join the Friends of Quetico and author and paddler Kevin Callan as they launch "Wilderness Quest", Kevin's new film about a canoe journey through Quetico in search of wilderness. 

Packed with humourous scenes highlighting common canoe-tripping misadventures, this one hour film explores one of Canada's largest wilderness parks, viewing its changing environments, wildlife, remoteness and scenic splendor. Advanced tickets will be available at Take A Hike.
