October is turning out to be another exciting month at Take A Hike.
New fall and winter stock is arriving daily and our shelves are getting stocked with wonderful gifts and toys for the upcoming holiday season.
Our sock donations program has been redesigned to help more children in need in our community. I hope you will join us in our new Share A Pair children's sock campaign. And finally a very special thank you to those who joined us on September 17th for our 15th Anniversary celebration. Amazing Weather and More
What an amazing autumn this has turned out to be. The summer-like temperatures and brilliant fall colours over the Thanksgiving weekend have truly been a gift.
With more seasonable weather expected soon, it's not too early to be launching our new SHARE A PAIR sock campaign. Our goal to to see that children in need in our community receive warm socks before winter. So until the end of October, when you purchase a pair of adult GKS socks at $9.95, we'll donate a pair of children's socks to the campaign on your behalf.
If you're having a hard time turning your mind to shopping for a new winter coat, don't delay. Many our popular styles are selling quickly. While selection still remains good, shop our WINTER COAT EVENT between October 17th and 22nd and receive a free scarf when you purchase a winter coat. Your name will also be entered into a free draw for a pair of Merrell winter boots!
And for those who are anxiously waiting for our next LOLE DAY, note that in order to make our autumn event even bigger and better we've rescheduled it to November 3rd.

Lumberjack Day was a Big Success
Thank you to everyone who helped make Take A Hike's first Lumberjack Day a great success. In case you missed it, the Hoito staff got into the spirit by wearing plaid shirts and serving up an extra hearty Lumberjack Breakfast. Forestry students from Lakehead University's competitive timbersports team proudly demontrated their log cutting skills. And, our customers enjoyed free gifts with purchases, draws for Woolrich product, and a chance at our grand prize draw for two Red Green tickets courtesy of 91.5 CKPR.
