September's e-newsletter
is coming to you mid-month so we could spend a little extra time working on a number of exciting projects.

Some projects we're ready to tell you about. 
Others we'll surprise you with in the months ahead. 

 

One exciting development
 is that we installed
log-siding on the exterior of the store.  Our new
log-cabin-look is getting
rave reviews.

Our web site is also
getting a makeover and we should have a whole new look ready for you by the end of the month. 
Stay tuned.

In October,
 we're launching a new sock campaign designed to help children in need in our community.

We're also planning
another Lole Day on
October 20th.

On a more personal note,
I'd like to thank everyone who joined me for
ice cream on my birthday.
You really made my day.

logoIt's hard to believe that it's been 15 years since we first opened.   When I reflect on all that's happened since that sunny September day, I can honestly say that it's been an incredible and wonderful journey.

We'd love nothing more than to share this important milestone with you are customers (and friends).  So please drop by on Saturday the 17th between

The 24th is Lumberjack Day at Take A Hike & the Hoito

On Saturday, September 24th put on your favourite plaid shirt, jacket and hat and head to Bay Street for Lumberjack Day! 

 

The Hoito will be serving up an extra hearty Lumberjack Breakfast much like the one they use to serve Finnish bushworkers.

 

Forestry students from Lakehead University's competitive lumberjack team will demonstrate their log cutting and sawing skills between 10am and 2pm in the Hoito parking lot.

 

And at Take A Hike you'll receive a FREE GIFT from our major sponsor WOOLRICH with purchases over $25, have a chance to win WOOLRICH products during FREE HOURLY DRAWS and you can save SAVE 10% on all plaid shirts, jackets, hats, blankets.
