July-August Savings & Events

We hope you've had a great start to summer and will have a chance to come visit us over the next several weeks. Whether it's to pick up a special gift, top off your summer wardrobe, entertain out of town guests or indulge yourself in a little retail therapy, it's always great to see you.

We're also planning a few events you won't want to miss. On July 23rd we'll be holding a Yard Sale (on May Street) to sell off furniture, fixtures and display items from our old store and on August 16th our Summer Clearance Sale begins. As an added bonus we'll be serving free ice cream cones on the 16th in celebration of my birthday! It doesn't get much better than that.

Take A Hike's "Across Town" Yard Sale - July 23

Cleaning out what we left behind

On Saturday, July 23rd from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm we're holding a giant yard sale at 111-1/2 May Street (between Axel's Plumbing and Norma Jean's Restaurant).

Here's your chance to pick-up new and used pieces of our former store. On sale will be dozens of artificial trees (with and without snow), display baskets and racks, book cases, shelving units, (new) bistro table and chair sets, (new) patio sets, kayak storage/display racks, halogen light fixtures, stereo speakers, entrance rugs and more.

This is a cash and carry event and all sales are final.

Please note: This sale is on MAY STREET between Victoria & Donald.

Your headquarters for summer fun

Taking a hike or paddling a canoe? Planning a barbeque or picnic? Heading to the lake or an outdoor concert? If so a visit to Take A Hike is bound to make your summer time adventure much more fun.

We're not calling an end to summer but we are setting a date for our huge Summer Clearance Sale. On August 16th you can start saving on selected summer clothing, footwear and gifts.

New fall stock starts arriving in late August!

On August 16th I turn 53 and I can't think of a better way to celebrate the day than sharing ice cream with my family, friends and customers.

So make sure you drop by the store that day for a free cone. My treat.

In case you can't wait, you can purchase ice cream all summer long from the Scandinavian Deli (next door to Take A Hike).

Win weekly prizes in July & August

To keep better informed about store events, products and specials, hundreds of people have either joined Take A Hike's Facebook group or become my facebook friend.

Unfortunately Facebook will be doing away with "groups" in favour of "pages". This means that to continue to stay in touch you'll need to "Like" our new page. To do so, simply click on the Facebook icon below and "Like" our new page.
