Flying Winemaker Zinfandel 2009
Lodi, California
Taste: Impressive dark ruby center with a violet rim. Light-roast Coffee, dark fruits, and violets all intertwine in the bouquet. The dark nuances including Mexican cocoa and coffee are subtle and eventually overtaken by the floral notes. Big yet soft berries are lush on the palette with just a touch of jam. The alcohol is subdued and oak well integrated. This Zin shows great complexity while maintaining pitch-perfect balance.
Food Paring: This Zinfandel pairs well with slightly spicy dishes, such as barbeque ribs or Italian sausage or with tomato based pasta sauces.

Food Paring:Great with slow roasted pork shoulder, or any BBQ dishes. It is also approachable enough for salmon and other fatty fish, such as seared ahi steak, barbecued chicken and burgers.
