Punkin Ale
Dogfish Head Brewery
Dogfish Head Brewery is out of Milton, Delaware and is a craft brewery that produces great "experimental beers," although, it is most notably known for its India Pale Ales (IPA's). Dogfish offers three varieties of its signature line of IPA's: 60 Minute, 90 Minute, and 120 Minute IPA. Their names refer to the "length of the boil time of the wort in which the hops are continuously added."
In October each year Dogfish Head releases its Seasonal fall brew-Punkin Ale, which is named after the annual Punkin' Chunkin Festival held near Lewes, Delaware the weekend after Halloween.
It is a full-bodied brown ale, with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. It is brewed with pumpkin meat, organic brown sugar and spices. "This is the perfect beer to warm-up with, as the season cools."
