Parent News

Summer brings a lot of training opportunities for foster and adoptive parents, including Florida State Foster/Adoptive Parent Association's 2011 Annual Education Conference, which was held June 16-18 in Orlando. FSFAPA committee members, headed by conference chairs Trudy Petkovich and Betsey McFarland and NexGen chair Dave Allen, worked diligently to provide conference attendees with useful resources and topnotch speakers.

Thank you to all of our supporters, volunteers and vendors. You helped make this one of our most successful conferences.

NFPA Blog

Did you know that National Foster Parent Association has a blog? It's the newest form of communication for the organization to connect with those who care for children, particularly children who require out of home care. It is NFPA's hope that parents and supporters will use this blog to discuss issues, concerns and suggestions for improvement associated with caring for other people's children.

The National Foster Parent Association has been the voice of foster parents for more than 40 years and is continually evolving with the times and needs of foster parents. So follow the new blog and feel free to comment on any of the posts.

If you're not a member of NFPA, please consider joining in the cause.
