Contaminants caused by condensation, rain, dirt and dust, exhaust outlets, and normal everyday auto traffic can affect the performance of the sensor, but Setra's Model SRH Outside Air Humidity transmitter is filtered to protect the sensor from these comtaminants, while still allowing a fast response.  Over time, if dirt and dust accumulate on the filter it can be wiped down or washed while leaving the unit mounted in place. And, should the sensor tip become contaminated it can easily be removed and replaced by maintenance personnel with Setra's replaceable sensor tip assembly.
