A Great Success!
What an inspirational luncheon! Thank you for making our annual Women & Public Policy Luncheon a wonderful success. This was a sold out event with an incredibly diverse attendee list. A huge thank you to Tonya Lewis Lee whose insightful and inspiring keynote speech resulted in lots of dialog and donations. Ms. Lee, in a post event tweet said, "Just finished speaking to 600 people at the Women's Fund luncheon in Milwaukee. They do great work! And they are fab!"
Prior to the celebration, 115 people participated in the Social Change Exchange, a panel discussion on sex trafficking in Milwaukee. Thanks to our panelists and all who participated.
If you made a donation or volunteered at our event, thank you. You can still help us change the future for women and girls right here in Milwaukee: Donate today on our website or call 414.290.7350 ext.3.

Give at Work and Create Social Change
Does your employer give you the ability to support the charity of your choice one paycheck at a time through United Way? Use this opportunity to support social change for women and girls in Milwaukee by designating your United Way gift to the Women's Fund. Your donation can change the future for women and girls. Here are a few examples of programs we have funded:
- 9to5
- Hmong American Women's Association
- Meta House
- Voces de la Frontera
- Neu-Life Community Resource Center
- Wisconsin League of Young Voters (Campaign Against Violence)
You can add to this list by directing United Way to make your contribution to the Women's Fund (Donor Choice #88533). As an Unaffiliated Agency of the Donor Choice Program of United Way, the Women's Fund received over $25,000 in designations last year.
It's fast, easy, and the right thing to do. You indicate how much per pay check you want to donate. Just $5 a pay period will result in a donation of $130. Multiply that by a 1,000 and that's $130,000 for a more just and fair world for women and girls in Milwaukee. |
