Over a Quarter Million Awarded!

 

We are proud to announce that we have awarded 39 grants totaling $266,000 to 25 local non-profit agencies for gender-responsive programs in 2011. This grant budget is the result of pooled funds from you, our supportive donors, and matching national funders.

 

"Our investment in a diverse pool of grant partners gives greater voice and resources to some of the most under-served and isolated women in our community," said Women's Fund Executive Director Elaine Maly.
 

The Women's Fund believes that improving conditions for women and girls - getting at the root cause of social issues - has a ripple effect: When you invest in a woman, you invest in her family, and ultimately, her community.

 

Grants range from $1,000 to $55,000 and support programs representing some of the best work impacting women and girls. This includes:
