Mark joined Richmond Association of Realtors CEO Laura Lafayette and other experts at a UVA alumni sponsored real estate forum.

Last month I finally completed one of the classic "PD" books "Think and Grow Rich." It was written by native Virginian Napoleon Hill, and while you might be put off by the shameless title, the book provides some thought provoking information on personal and professional improvement. In this time of uncertainty, it provides a great deal of sane reasoning as well.

I have always been curious about this book, in particular after learning how it came about. (more)

We have all heard the news - housing inventories are at record highs, foreclosure rates are increasing, interest rates are at record lows, and it is impossible to get a loan.  Is all this true?  Not really ...

 

It is true that housing inventories Have been at all time highs and foreclosures continue to put downward pressure on prices, foreclosure rates are beginning to show a decline.  Banks do have large numbers of homes on their books that they eventually must sell. This is good news for buyers who will have more to choose from and a big bargaining stick!
