A "Blast" Visit on MLK Day
The "Buckingham Blast (U 11 boys) and their families had the honor of volunteering on Martin Luther King Day at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Jamison. After the initial jitters subsided and the table games and conversation began, there was a comfortableness that allowed for a meaningful and enjoyable experience. On a day that could've been used for anything else, it was, for our boys, a day to learn and laugh, give to and grow with others different than themselves. As one of the residents, Chris, thanked us for coming, she asked if we could come back every week! What a great reward for our boys to receive - an invitation to r
eturn. I am sure Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud to know that his dream is becoming a reality in a soccer team from Buckingham. I think he would also agree that the content of our boys' character grew a little more that day.

Inaugural Coaches Social
The December's Coaches and Managers' Meeting was held in the form of a Social. A mix of over 40 BUSC Coaches, managers, trainers, volunteers & board Members were able to take some time away from their very busy schedules and gather on a cold winter evening in the warm, inviting atmosphere of the Waterwheel Inn. The night was a success allowing us all to socialize off the field for a change. The Board unveiled the new uniforms that they chose. They received great reviews and excitement over the new look. Bryan and Lisa Rosica also gave an update on the BUSC March into Cups Tournament and the many sponsorship and fundraising opportunities it will bring. The Social was created to find a small token of appreciation to thank the coaches and the many volunteers it takes to keep our club running strong. |
U8 Spring Academy "try it out"
BUSC is pleased to announce the formation of a U8 Academy style program. This would be for U8 Girls and boys (born between 8.01.2002 & 7.31.2003) who are interested in seeing what Travel Soccer is all about. The time committment is the Spring season. The current plan is that it will be training 1 night per week and training and scrimmaging the second night but no games. This would allow the players to also play intramural this spring.
Enter your email below to receive updates and information about this program. This is not a registration, simply an interest in receiving info on the program and future registration.
