Greetings!

Labor Day Weekend signals the start of Fall Soccer!  We hope that everyone had a great time this summer.  Good luck to all of our Buckingham teams this weekend in the Labor Day Tournaments and the start of a successful season.

We are working on the Fall practice plan as Daylight becomes shorter in the upcoming months.

Comments and suggestions are always welcome.  Our BUSC Executive board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month and the Coaches meeting is the 3rd Thursday.

See you on the fields!

Our Registration Process went very smoothly!  Thank you everyone for signing up for various volunteer positions!  We will be in touch shortly with helpful information for the upcoming seasons.  Is there a volunteer position you didn't see but would like to create?  Let's talk!
BUSC Board

Our new Soccer Year brings changes to our board.  We'd like to thank Bev Lutes for her time and efforts on as the Fields and Equipment Chair as well as serving as our scheduler.  Her dedication and passion for the job did not go unnoticed.  Bev will now be the ICSL Coordinator for our Club.  Special thanks also go out to Barbara Snodgrass for serving the last few years as our Secretary/Treasurer and Registrar.  Her follow-up and organization skills kept our Club running smoothly. Bob Kline also retires as our ICSL delegate.

We welcome our new board members Michelle Obetz and Bryan Rosica.  We also welcome Donna Destefano as our Field Scheduler, Barb Prajzner as the Pags delegate, Chris Lugossy as Maps.  The Delco delegates are Bill Griffith and Becky Barlow.

US Bid

Dated August 31st, 2010
One week from today, FIFA is coming to the U.S. to evaluate our World Cup Bid up close.

This is a huge opportunity to make our best possible impression, so we need to go all out to show them just how much we want to host the FIFA World Cup™.

Right now, we have 981,000 supporters of our Bid. We're so close to exceeding our initial goal of 1 million -- but we need your help to get there before FIFA arrives.

I know I've asked you to spread the word about the Bid before, but with FIFA coming in just one week, now is the most important moment to take action. Tell everyone you know to sign the petition now:

http://gousabid.com/FIFAvisit

FIFA is sending a six-person inspection team to tour several of the stadiums and facilities that are part of our Bid. After their visit, they'll report back to the FIFA Executive Committee, which is responsible for selecting the host nations to both World Cups.

When the FIFA team arrives, I don't want to tell them we have 990,000 or 995,000 supporters -- I want to tell them we have more than 1 million. Then there will be no doubt in anyone's mind that the Game Is In US.

With your help, I know we can get there. Tell everyone you know about our Bid, and help us make our best impression on FIFA next week:

Thanks,

-- David
