Meet Kirstie Pike with Prois Womens Hunting Clothing
Jake and I had the opportunity to meet with Kirstie Pike and her husband Steve at the RMEF show in Reno.  They are the owners and founders of Prois women hunting clothing.  This is the some of the best outdoor performance clothing I have ever worn.   The fit is fantastic, the fabric provides windstopping, wicking, waterproofing, silence and it is functional.   You may have read my article a few months back about the trouble I had with hand-me-downs hunting clothing -  while this is the solution.
Take a look at their web site.  Prois

Greetings!

March is here already!  Spring will soon be  approaching it is always an exhilarating sight to see the brown colored hill sides turn into a radiant  green.   As March speeds by don't forget to apply for your Montana Non-Resident license application by March 15th.   It is also a good time to complete your summer vacation plans.

In this newsletter you will find information and links on how to apply for your 2011 hunting license,  Outdoor Life Magazine article on UCO, snow pack update, summer update and photos from last summer,  video of elk, lions, bighorn sheep and Jake, and new summer and hunting opportunities for our clients.

Thank you and hope you have a stimulating spring.  I seem to always find new energy and come up with new projects for the ranch every spring.  This year we are planning on a new deck for the conference room and re-painting the inside of the cabins.  Spring is exciting for me - scary for Jake!!!

Thank you for taking the time to read our newsletter.

LAST CALL - Hunting Licenses Due March 15:

Montana's nonresident licensing system has changed.  Beginning in 2011 both the guided and unguided non-resident elk and deer licenses will be sold by computerized drawing. We anticipate a high success rate with the 2011 draw and feel that the 17,000 elk/deer combo pool of licenses will not be sold out.  The reason being is the higher price of the license for the un-guided hunters, there will be a limited about of hunters who apply.

Applications for these licenses must be post marked on or before March 15th.  We  strongly encourage you to apply on-line to insure that the application is correct.  Fish, Wildlife and Parks Special Licensing Department phone is 406-444-2950, or apply online application can be made at FWPs website:   http://fwp.mt.gov/hunting/  For a paper application go to http://fwp.mt.gov/hunting/licenses/applications/default.html   For on line Licensing (which we suggest doing) go to  https://app.mt.gov/Als/Index   PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, CALL US AND I WILL DO IT ON THE COMPUTER FOR YOU.   You will find out the results of the license drawing mid April.
