         Hometown Pharmacy

Hometown Pharmacy of Lapeer is a privately owned, full service community pharmacy located in the Genesys Medical Building on Baldwin Road in Lapeer, Michigan. The idea behind Hometown Pharmacy developed from a simple desire: bringing together the benefits of a small, independently owned community pharmacy with the efficiency of a larger, well-managed company to improve the way retail pharmacy is practiced today.

Hometown pharmacists are valuable community health care resources for those who require timely and accurate information. Their experienced and knowledgeable staff pride themselves on knowing each customer and efficiently filling prescriptions in as few as 15 minutes. They currently service several nursing homes in the area, and are able to provide compounding and fill specialty prescriptions. The success of Hometown Pharmacy of Lapeer is due to its dedication and commitment to customer service. Whether you have been with them from the beginning or have heard about their competitive prices or fast, friendly and efficient service, they are here to help you.  Stop in and see for yourself why Hometown Pharmacy is "the best kept secret in town."

At Hometown Pharmacy their mission is to serve YOU while providing the convenience, competitive prices and quality time that you deserve. They believe that a Pharmacy you know is a Pharmacy you can trust.

False Security - Pressing 'Delete'

If you are selling or donating an old computer, it could cost you down the road.  That is if you do not take steps to truly remove your sensitive information from the hard drive.  Just because a file is out of sight does not mean it is removed from your computer.

What does 'delete' mean?

When a file is deleted it is not erased from the hard drive of the computer.  Deleting a file simply removes the path to the file from your view.  If you have not emptied the Trash folder on the computer, this sensitive information could still be easily accessible.

Removing Files

Over time files can be written over to make room for new data.  Using free data destruction software to "Wipe" your hard drive clean is the best way to completely remove information from the hard drive.  Once the hard drive is cleaned, the operating system can be reinstalled.

Another option, if recycling the computer, is to remove and drill holes through the hard drive.

Don't make the mistake of thinking your sensitive information is safe just because you gave your computer to a family member or friend.  That computer along with your personal information could easily end up on eBay or Craig's List.  So before selling, donating or recycling any device with personal information remember to clean the hard drive.
