| God's Faithfulness in 2011 |
Greetings!
As we begin this New Year we want to take a moment to reflect on God's faithfulness in 2011. Over this past year God provided:
- Staff- Linda Collins, as our full time director for the mentoring, internship, and horse programs
- Facilities- A horse barn and maintenance shop
- Volunteers- a total of 133 Volunteers for summer camp
- Interns- 3 interns to join our new one year Internship Program
- Mentors- 10 mentors and 13 mentees for the Mentoring Program
- New website with online camper registrations and volunteer applications
- More campers- A 10% increase in campers with a total of 192 campers
- More support- A 10% increase in support for the year
- More sponsors- we ended December with sponsors for all of the 2011 campers!!
- More lives impacted for Christ: 36 Decisions for Christ and 37 Baptisms
At the beginning of 2011 most of these things were just a dream. As we look back on this past year we can remember many times it seemed we were at the very the edge of our limited abilities. We could identify with the Israelites in the middle of the desert with no food or water. Only God could save us. Yet now, looking back, we see that God has met each and every need. Like the 23rd Psalm ~ "our cup overflows." To all of you who prayed for Camp David, supported the ministry, and, or served at camp this past year, I want to say thanks for being part of giving hope to children of prisoners.
