CSC's Summer Fun Science Camp for youth in grades pre-K through rising ninth continues through August 24th, with exciting and fun-filled science classes.

QUEEN ANNE'S REVENGE - Join Dr. John Callahan to learn about the discovery and preservation of Blackbeard's flag ship, Queen Anne's Revenge. Pirate tales in time for beach season!
Dr. Callahan, Emeritus Professor of Geology at ASU, has worked on artifacts from the QUA for more than 10 years with the goal of proving Blackbeard's ship. He is a founding member of the NC Geology Board for Licensing of Geologists in NC.

Catawba Science Center offers a variety of engaging and educational birthday party packages for children ages 3 to 12.
NEW THEME - Flower Power
Ages 4-11 will discover the fascinating world of flowers. Learn how bees help flowers grow and how to do their unique dance. Make your own "seed bomb" to take home and investigate the essentials needed to help the flowers grow. Other science themes include Seashore Celebration, Meet the Animals, Science Magic, Dino-Mite and Earth & Sky Spectacular.
As of July 1, CSC Birthday party prices have increased slightly to cover costs. Please contact CSC for details.

Dinosaurs Exhibit continues
through September 2nd
Exhibit takes visitors beyond the bones | |
Bring your family, friends and neighbors to walk among the Dinosaurs and learn about habitats dating back to the late Permian, late Jurassic and late Cretaceous eras, now through Sept. 2.
Weekly Dino Demos in Carpenter Hall
Wednesdays & Fridays at 4 p.m.; Saturdays & Sundays at 2 p.m.
Dino Family Day - Saturday, August 18, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Families will enjoy special activities tied to the popular DINOSAURS exhibit. Construct the ultimate "Recycle-saurus" out of recyclable items. All activities included in admission.
