See Dinosaurs, Explore Prehistoric Past
Exhibit takes visitors beyond the bones

Walk among the Dinosaurs in an immersive prehistoric setting and learn about habitats dating back to the late Permian, late Jurassic and late Cretaceous eras, now through Sept. 2.

Go beyond the bones and see how these prehistoric creatures may have looked and sounded when they roamed the Earth millions of years ago. Visit the exhibit's paleo-research camp, see "living fossils," unearth prehistoric relics and participate in Weekly Dino Demos: Wednesdays & Fridays at 4 p.m.; Saturdays & Sundays at 2 p.m.

Dino Family Day - June 9

Families will enjoy special activities tied to the Dinosaurs exhibit. Work together to build your own "Sculptasaurus" using colorful modeling clay. Activities from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. are included in admission.

Birds, or Modern Day Dinosaurs?

2 p.m. - Arts & Science Choral Room

Are birds just modern day dinosaurs? Is Archaeopteryx no longer the oldest bird? Learn the answers to these and other questions during a special program with ASU Paleontologist Dr. Andy Heckert.

Free with general admission.

Dinosaurs is sponsored by George Foundation, Beaver Family Foundation, Catawba Valley Medical Center, Corning and Frye Regional Medical Center. Media sponsors are WFAE 90.3 fm,

Italian Dinner
Italian Dinner & Auction Update
Annual fundraiser to support CSC was successful

The 26th Annual Italian Dinner & Auction, held recently at Lake Hickory Country Club, was another huge succes. The CSC Guild outdid themselves once again, and brought in more than $80,000 for CSC, $17,800 of which will go to the Fund-A-Cause to restore the Dinosaurs traveling exhibit.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this evening possible. Our sincere thanks go to the CSC Guild, led by President Crystal Ellis, for all of her hard work in creating such a special event.
