| Mural Artists Hit the Road for Haverhill | |
Starting Monday, the Essex Street Gateway Community Mural will going up on the wall, for approximately six weeks. The artist team, led by James Shuster of MLS Studios, will be on site at 25 Essex Street every weekday (weather permitting) from 9 to 5. Whether the artists are on the ground or up on the lift, the whole community is invited to stop by, see what's happening, and--on special days to be announced--help with the painting. Our visiting artists are housed near the worksite at the Cordovan, thanks to the generosity of Beacon Communities. |

This celebration of Haverhill's history, arts and varied cultures will take place on Saturday afternoon, June 2, on Wingate Street--which adjoins the mural site. Sponsored jointly by Team Haverhill and other community organizations, this family-friendly event will start at noon and will include "preview" tours of the nearly-completed mural. We are still looking for community groups that would like to highlight Haverhill's multiple cultures with a booth or brief performance. For more information, contact Leota Sarrette: Email. |
