"Hats On" at KidsFEST--Sunday, May 1 |
 The opening parade for this year's KidFEST will include not only the doll carriage component, but also a salute to Haverhill's hatmaking history. Elementary-age children are encouraged to show up wearing a favorite hat, cap or Easter bonnet--or a wild creation just for this occasion--to help lead the parade down Washington Street.  Team Haverhill volunteers at Haverhill Goes Green last weekend promoted several initiatives, including an expanded bottle bill and the state program that provides resources for school "Green Teams." | Air Force Jazz Band Booked for Ruckus |
 Haverhill's River Ruckus 2011 is scheduled for Saturday, August 20 (rain date Sunday). A fabulous line-up of activities is planned, including an evening performance of the United States Air Force Jazz Band. This promises to be another fabulous concert to lead up to the finale light show. Program books for the day--including coupons for events and dining all summer--will be distributed early in the summer throughout the region.  The 2011 Haverhill Goes Green event last weekend, sponsored by Brightside and other organizations, was a great success.
