OPPORTUNITIES
Attractive Incentives for Pursuing Energy Efficiency
Can subsidized services benefit your building? |
|
Energy efficiency is a win-win-win for the economy, our society, and the environment. A growing number of utility and government programs are prioritizing efficiency.
SEA is a service provider for two such incentive programs: the ComEd Retro-Commissioning Program (targeting large buildings) and the Cook County Energy Efficiency Block Grant Program (accepting buildings of all sizes). Both help organizations lower their energy bills.
The Cook County Energy Efficiency Block Grant Program offers free yet comprehensive energy audits (with no obligation) to organizations in the Chicago area. SEA suggests low- and no-cost energy-saving solutions.
The ComEd Retro-Commissioning Program also aims to reduce energy use, but the process is more extensive than a straightforward energy audit. SEA works with the building to implement efficiency measures. This program offers about $50,000 in free services per facility.
