"By taking a broader, more deliberate approach to planning, distributors can put themselves
in a much better position to
achieve growth and cement tighter relationships with their
key manufacturers."
Two crucial ways to achieve growth include maximization of partnerships and diversification initiatives.
Manufacturers are looking for selected distributors who can help them grow their business. Some of this could occur through line conversions, but more can be the result of joint partnering to create demand within the marketplace.
With innovative products and strong customer service, TMS is an excellent partner. TMS Quick Ship products are a great way to demonstrate dedication to your customers. We've had great success meeting tight deadlines with products in the Quick Ship program.
Diversification components include approaching new market segments, developing expertise (such as energy-efficiency), and promoting adjacent product categories.
Firestop is a great example of an adjacent product category. In the St. Louis market, STI is the specified brand for firestopping in local medical buildings. In an economy where many lighting lines are down, these are excellent produts to help you diversify.
We'd be happy to come talk to you about our success with both TMS and STI. Check out the stories within this newsletter or contact Gateway today!
