Remembering 9-11
As the tenth anniversary of the terrorist attack of 9-11 approaches, the Torah Academy Middle School Division spoke about tragedy and loss. Rabbi Chaim Glazer told the boys, "It is important for us to fully appreciate how much Hashem loves us and how every event in our lives, happy and sad, is part of a great Divine Plan. We can't possibly fathom Hashem's reasons for these events, but we can rest assured that every Mitzva and act of chessed we do, and every word that we daven with kavana, has tremendous powers to protect K'lal Yisroel during these uncertain times." |
Middle School Milestones
The first of many Onegs took place last Shabbos as Rabbi Glazer and his Talmidim sang, ate and enjoyed learning and spending time together in a less formal environment. "It is so important to connect to the students on a number of levels," said Rabbi Glazer. The students especially had a great Shabbos learning and spending time outside of the classroom," he added.
"The Oneg was amazing. It was great being with my friends outside of the classroom. I hope we continue to have many more, said Elisha Burack." |
