Purim Carnival at Torah Academy

Our Shushan Purim carnival was so much fun and a great success! The early childhood and elementary students joined together for a fun-filled day of games, prizes and activities. The booths and activities were all created by the fourth and fifth graders. They used their innovative ideas and creativity to make the day special for everyone. Younger grades enjoyed a school scavanger hunt as well. A special thank you to Mrs. Henna Englander for coordinating and designing the days events and to the many staff members who helped out in so many ways. |

Elementary Insights

The second graders began a math unit on measurement. Using their rulers, they measured and estimated the length of their legs, feet, and items in their classroom. "This is a skill which is so practical for everyday life," said Mrs. Engel. "It applies to fitting supplies into back packs and helps develop abstract and concrete reasoning," she added. |
