Elementary Insights

Our annual science fair proved to be a huge success as the students put the scientific method to the test. They displayed their tri-fold presentations for the elementary school and parents this week and were able to demonstrate mastery over their choice of project. "It is a special chance for them to showcase what they have learned and take pride in their academic success," said Mrs. Feder. The students received first place, second place or honorary mention ribbons and everyone came out a winner!

The third graders were so excited to have had a siyum, as they completed Parshas Toldos. It is so fun to play Jeopardy and get points," said Meira Lindenberg. Rabbi Englander continues to encourage his students along through active motivation and positive reinforcement. |

Mrs. Turk joined together her Kindergarten and first grade classes to share in a learning project on butterflies. The collaboration between classes is a way to encourage the students to have team work and cooperation. This culminating assignment topped off their experience at Butterfly World and their science curriculum within the classroom.

Pre-K enjoyed bed time stories from their Morahs this week, as they wore their pajamas in school while practicing the "P" sound. It is a real treat for the children to have a "pretend" sleep over with their friends during the school day. |
