Annual Dinner is this Tuesday Night!

As we see the figures going up in our journal campaign and the number of days until our dinner winding down, we are growing more and more excited to greet you at our 12th Anniversary Dinner this Tuesday night, February 15th.  This has been an exhilarating campaign, which IY"H will be topped off fittingly with a night full of appreciation and inspiration.  Yet the campaign is not over yet!  Please help us in these final days before the dinner to reach our goal by reaching out to current and potential supporters. We look forward to seeing you Tuesday night!

A special thank you to the following parents who attended "Super Monday" this week: Dr. Freyda Cohen, Mrs. Chayi Cohen, Mrs. Henna Englander, Rabbi Ben Gonsher, Mrs. Denise Herschberg, Dr. Jay Keehn, Mrs. Michal Schochet, Mrs. Tova Spodek, Rabbi Ben Sugerman and Mrs. Batsheva Wasser. A special thank you to the Dr. and Mrs. Hillel Cohen for hosting the event.

Please contact Rabbi Reuven Feinberg at rfeinberg@torahacademybr.org for more information on placing a tribute ad in the journal.

Early Childhood Encounters

Learning Hebrew letters is artistic and fun. This week, the Pre-K class learned the letter Samech. They read a sefer, played with a sus and created a floral letter samech.

Elementary Insights

Rabbi Guttman utilized chavrusa learning with his fourth graders this week, while learning Chumash. "Working together with a partner helps me figure out new words and I like working with a friend," said Yisrael Wealcatch.

Our fifth graders began a unit on geometry this week. Mrs. Feder utilized differentiation as the students worked in groups and were assigned various jobs. "When beginning such a new lesson it is so important to use varying modalities and allow the students to try different options," said Mrs. Feder.
