Excitement is mounting as Tuesday, February 15th approaches - the date we will celebrate Torah Academy of Boca Raton's 12th Anniversary Dinner.

As we celebrate the 12th Anniversary of Torah Academy, we honor Dr. Jay and Melissa Keehn and Rabbi Ben and Rebecca Sugerman, two couples who embody the innovative spirit and devoted commitment that foster our Yeshiva's growth and academic strength.

It is also our honor to recognize as Grandparents of the Year, Meyer and Rachel Bluth, and Boruch and Sharon Fleischman. Their commitment to Torah ideals and education, as well as their communities and families, is abundantly clear in their actions and the admirable qualities of their children and grandchildren.

We encourage you to support Torah Academy by placing a tribute in the ad journal. The Annual Dinner is Torah Academy's primary fundraising event and the journal is the key to the campaign's success.

Please contact Rabbi Reuven Feinberg at rfeinberg@torahacademybr.org for more information on placing a tribute ad in the journal.

Torah Academy Welcomes Rabbi Yisroel Meir Rubinfeld of Torah UMesorah

We were honored to welcome Rabbi Yisroel Meir Rubinfeld, Executive School Consultant of Torah UMesorah, to our Yeshiva for a visit this past week.

Rabbi Rubinfeld noted, "I get to visit hundreds of schools. I have a particular liking towards Torah Academy of Boca Raton. This is due to the magnificent structure and organization that is noticeable by walking through the door. By visiting the classrooms one sees dedication and loving Rebbeim and Teachers. All this points to a wonderful staff under the leadership of Rabbi Baumann and Rabbi Feinberg whom seem to insist on excellence in education with uncompromising Torah values."

Coming Soon...Torah Academy's

New PTO- Library

As the PTO prepares the final stages of the Torah Academy library, we are offering sponsorship opportunities for providing new or used (good condition) books in both Judaica as well as non-fiction secular. As we near the library's opening, we are eager to expand our selection for the children. We have developed an extensive wish list and are looking for sponsors.

For more information regarding sponsorships, book donations, or to get involved, please call Mrs. Rebecca Sugerman at 561-750-3058.

Elementary Insights

Mrs. Meth and her students completed Parshas Vayeshev and celebrated with a siyum and a closing project. The students enjoyed candy and treats that connected to what they were learning.

Early Childhood Encounters

There was a lot of barking coming from Pre-K this week as the students brought in their favorite Kelavim, dogs, while learning the letter Kaf. For the students, learning their Hebrew letters and Hebrew vocabulary is interactive and fun!

Our EC-2 students have been bundling up in the winter weather. The children created mittens and snowmen to experience the "winter" in Florida. "It is challenging to teach them the cold weather of winter in this sunshine," said Morah Hodaya.

Overheard at Torah Academy

The third graders welcomed more parents into their classroom this week, as they continued learning about different types of careers and the skills that they entail. Thank you to all of our parents who have participated.

Halacha Corner

Q. I noticed that the boy making Kiddush in Shul didn't say Hashem's name right. Is the Bracha still good?

A. A very common problem is that many don't make sure they're saying Hashem's name right. One must pronounce the Alef with a chataf-patach, Daled with a cholom, Nun with a Kamatz, and the Yud pronounced clearly. The emphasis is on the Nun (Mil-Ra) [O"C 5, 2] If one is not careful, it's possible to make hundreds of Brachos and none of them count!!

Do YOU have a Halacha Question? Write it down on a piece of paper and hand it into Rabbi Baumann

Mazal Tov to Dr. Daniel and Mrs. Rivka Lindenberg on the birth of their son, and to their proud siblings, Netanel, Meira, Ariel, Atara, and Yael.
