Torah Academy's 12th Annual Dinner is February 15th

We are pleased to announce that Torah Academy of Boca Raton's 12th Anniversary Dinner will take place on Tuesday, February 15th.

As we celebrate the 12th Anniversary of Torah Academy, it is especially fitting that we pay tribute to Dr. Jay and Melissa Keehn and Rabbi Ben and Rebecca Sugerman as our esteemed honorees. We are also honored to recognize as Grandparents of the Year, Meyer and Rachel Bluth, and Boruch and Sharon Fleischman. Our honorees share a deep commitment to Jewish education, Torah Academy, and the Jewish Community.

We invite you to support Torah Academy by placing a tribute in the ad journal. The Annual Dinner is Torah Academy's primary fundraising event and the journal is the key to the campaign's success.

For more information on placing a tribute ad in the journal, please contact Rabbi Reuven Feinberg at rfeinberg@torahacademybr.org.

Coming Soon...Torah Academy's

New PTO Library

Shhhhh! The Torah Academy Library is almost up and running! As books are collected and a computerized data and checkout system is built, the students are eagerly awaiting the first time they can check out a book for their home enjoyment. The library project is spearheaded and coordinated by Mrs. Rebecca Sugerman and will become an additional co-curricular part of the students weekly schedule. "Exposing the students to Jewish fiction that is sometimes difficult to find will be a wonderful opportunity," said Mrs. Sugerman. Another important element of the library is teaching responsibility. "The students will have to return books and take care of them," said Mrs. Lindenberg. Book sponsors and dedications are available to assist with the library's expansion. Please contact Mrs. Sugerman for more information.

Early Childhood Encounters

Morah Lori got creative as she taught the letter "H" to her Pre-K class this week. They used their bodies to spell out the letter "H" and used various other creative ways to spell out "H" words.

Rabbi Englander played a round of Jeopardy with his third graders. The students were excited to share their knowledge and earn points toward prizes.

Rabbi Yachnes surprised Mrs. Turk as he and the first graders paraded into her classroom with a musical Mazal Tov on her marriage. The kids were so excited and couldn't wait for her return.

Overheard at Torah Academy

Parents have been joining Mrs. Engel's third grade class to share their various professions and how important school is in finding the right career and doing well. Thank you to all of our parents who have participated.

Thank you to Mrs. Feder and Mrs. Weisel  for speaking with the third graders this past Tuesday and Wednesday about their career choices. The students were eager to learn from them.

Sheva Brachos for Mrs. Turk

The Sheva Brachos, sponsored by parents of the students of Mrs.Turk was a wonderful Mitzvah and special time to celebrate their recent wedding. Mrs. Turk and her husband, Evan, were delighted to be welcomed into the warmth of the Torah Academy family at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Baruch Galbut. "We were honored to be thought of in such a loving way," said Mrs.Turk.
