Rabbi Englander celebrated Shabbos with his students this week with an Oneg at his home."It is a motivating kick off for the beginning of the year," said Rabbi Englander. The children enjoyed shoreshim bingo, games and stories. The Rabbi began reading, The Golem of Prague. "It is scary and exciting," said Meir Cheplowitz. The students raved about the Rice Crispy treats and gave a big thank you to Mrs. Englander too!   

Mrs. Meth's Hebrew language unit on weather was COOL!  As the students engaged in differentiated learning, they explored weather related vocabulary, sentences and even presented an oral weather report. They covered the weather in Florida and Yerushalayim, as well as New York and Boston. "The girls were able to work on their Ivrit skills while playing games and performing," said Mrs. Meth.

Goldie Locks and the Three Bears as interpreted by the third graders was performed in teams by the students in Mrs. Engel's class. Team building, time management, and character building were the themes of this exercise which was designed by Mrs. Engel last week. A big believer in buddy learning, Mrs. Engel mentioned that it is important to note that children learn best from their peers. "It is also an important lesson to get along with others and work on a project together with shared success," said Mrs. Engel.
