Golf Tournament and Mega BBQ is this Monday, October 11th !

First class golf, grilled steaks and ribs, and Torah Academy! Who could ask for a better way to spend a Monday? The Torah Academy fourth annual Golf Tournament and Mega BBQ will take place this Monday, October 11th at the Heron Bay Golf Club.  "We couldn't be more excited," said Yakov Lyons. "The beauty of the course and the friends that come out to show their support for our school is spectacular."  Former home of the PGA Honda Classic, Heron Bay is a perfect place for a round of golf as well as a day out for the family.

"The amount of care that members of the school and community have taken in order to plan this important event is fantastic," said Dr. Baruch Galbut. "Dr. Baruch Ringelheim has done so much of the preparation," added Dr. Galbut. Dr. Ringelheim has arranged for the most delicious meats to be provided for the event with the grill up and running from 11am. The community support and sponsorship opportunities are increasing daily. For last minute reservations for playing, for the Mega Bar BBQ or various sponsorship opportunities, please email tabrgolf@gmail.com or call 561-347-1821.

PTO Sponsors a Petting Zoo at Torah Academy in Honor of Parshas Noach

The petting zoo was a big success thanks to the PTO.  The children in early childhood to second grade explored and enjoyed the touch and feel of many of the cutest and softest of Hashem's creatures.

The first graders were delighted to welcome Mr. Robert Fleischman, Hanna and Miriam Bluth's Saba, to their class to sing special songs on Parshas Noach.

Early Childhood Encounters

Our Early childhood got hands on as they learned about animals this week. Mrs. Guttman took her students on a hunt for many of Hashem's creatures and plants as they took a field trip around the school's campus.

Kindergarten enjoyed their exploration of animals as a unit on this week's Parsha. Ms. Green utilized the week's theme as she worked on a patterned reading exercise with her students. "By looking at patterns in pictures, and books students can expand their vocabulary and reading fluency," said Ms. Green.

Elementary Insights

Rabbi Guttman reviews Chumash with his fourth graders as they read aloud while they learn Torah. Tani Schochet displays his growing skills for the class.

Onions and beans are growing wild in Mrs. Engel's second grade class as the children measure and weigh as a science unit on plant life and growth. The children sing songs and take daily accounts of their development.
