| Torah Academy Students Join National Sefer Torah Campaign |
|
Our Elementary students have joined the Chofetz Chaim Heritage Foundation "Onaas Devarim" sefira program. On Thursday the 4th and 5th graders joined schools across the country in reciting Tehillim and hearing from Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky, shlita, by phone hookup. The students also watched an inspiring video describing the power of our words.
All winners will have the unique opportunity to fulfill the Mitzva of writing a sefer Torah by receiving a certificate and a special letter to be written from The Chofetz Chaim Foundation Sefer Torah. More details will follow as we launch this powerful program. |

Kindergarten - Mrs. Rabovsky
The theme of exploring Eretz Yisroel has created an excitement for the kindergartners as Mrs. Rabovsky inspires them to create flags, games, songs and passports for their pretend trip to Eretz Yisroel. The children will take a virtual trip to the land of Israel next week on Yom Haatzmaut. |

Rabbi Englander utilized chavrusa learning this week with his third graders. He introduced a model of differentiated instruction by hand - tailoring activities for each pair of students. He was able to make the learning relevant and fun for each student. Pairing the students allows for better assessment and enables them to utilize their personal strengths. |

Sarah Shore is an Early Childhood teacher assistant at Torah Academy. She has been involved in early childhood education and working individually with each of the children. "I love to be there for them when they need that type of individual attention," said Morah Sarah. As a student herself, Morah Sarah is planning to attend college and study special education. "Working at Torah Academy is such a great way to prepare for my studies and my future as an early childhood educator," said Morah Sarah.
Sarah has always been interested in working with children. "Some of my favorite parts of the day are outdoors when I can watch them explore for themselves and become inspired by what they see as well as that one on one time when I work with them on self expression and personal development." |
