Ateres Zekainim Program Launched |
|

It is with a great sense of excitement that we launch a new school-wide project. In Mishlei (17:6) Shlomo Hamelech writes "Ateres Zekainim Bnai Banim- The crown of the elders are the sons of sons." There is little that compares to the pride, satisfaction, and joy that elders receive from seeing and watching a new, young generation following in the beautiful path of Torah and Middos Tovos. It is with this in mind that we are launching our Ateres Zekainim Program, in which our classes will go out to the older members of our community to smile, sing, interact, and bring joy. In addition to bringing Simcha to our broader community members, the Ateres Zekainim Program will help concretize our focus on Middos Tovos and Chesed, as students will be involved in giving and thinking of others. Thus far, we've had one visit that was met with outstanding success. On Thursday September 10th, our 2nd grade sang and shared Shana Tova wishes at Congregation Anshei Emunah of Delray Beach, to over 60 congregants. Their joy and sweet smiles were so much appreciated and we were promptly invited back! In the coming weeks we'll be visiting the Century Village community of Boca Raton. We look forward to expanding this special program throughout the year. |
