We are pleased to invite the entire Torah Academy parent body to a Melave Malka on October 24 at 9:00 PM at the home of Daniel and Sue Kaskel, 7648 Stockton Terrace. All new and returning parents are invited to join us for this wonderful opportunity to meet the many new families, enjoy delicious food, and hear an update of the happenings at Torah Academy. We look forward to seeing you there!
"As a new family in the school we felt this would be as great way to meet other families and the Rabbeim and staff. We are so impressed with the school and the way they balance the academic and spiritual growth of the children," said Sue Kaskel.

Torah Academy's 3rd Annual
Golf Tournament was a Big Success |
"A Kiddush Hashem," said Brian Galbut, event chair. "It was truly a first class event. From the gorgeous weather, exciting and challenging course and delicacies afterwards, everyone who attended enjoyed it," he added.
Golf dinner chair, Dr. Baruch Ringelheim was instrumental in creating a terrific buzz about the food at the tournament with steaks from Colorado and hotdogs from Chicago. Shaul Lugerner donated his time and energy not too mention, his grilling expertise. Headed by Avi Frohlich and Josh Herschberg, the lay leadership for the event was stellar. Throughout the planning stages and the event itself everyone on the committee worked hard to bring golfers and solicit sponsorships for the yeshiva. Ruchie Lyons solicited the various community restaurants for gift certificates as prizes, Rabbi Ben Sugerman lead us with his energy and vision, Todd Cohn provided invaluable energy and chizuk, and Cornelle Selig's worked wonders with her organizational expertise.
We want to give a huge thank you to the PTO for their support and help with registration. Rabbi Feinberg's guidance and support were an inspirational force for the event. "We couldn't have been more pleased, everyone had a great time and we're looking forward to next year," enthusiastically added Galbut. |
| Petting Zoo at Torah Academy |

Hands on learning for Parshah Noah. Our students were able to enjoy and explore the animals of the Teva as they appeared at Torah Academy this week. Complete with ponies, goats, chickens and turtles, the children enjoyed getting their hands dirty with some precious animals. The petting zoo was sponsored by the PTO. "Goats like when we brush their hair and they wag their tales," said Henna Bluth- K. "Turtles move faster than the fastest swimmer," said Chaim Hirsch. |
| Early Childhood Encounters |
Let's begin the Aleph Bais! In EC-4 the children are excited and creative when it comes to learning their Hebrew letters. "We use everything from body shapes and physical movement to pretzels and baking the shapes out of dough to teach the children the letter," said Morah Guttman. "By using different modalities, each child is able to find the best learning tool for themself," added Morah Choomie.
