A child size Succah was built by EC- 2. They were able to learn songs, create art work and experience the Chag in a very real way!

"The best thing we can do is to create an air of excitement about Succos. Through songs, stories and art we are teaching the children to love their heritage," said Mrs. Rabovsky.
Dvar Torah

On each of the seven days of Succos seven guests join us. They are called the Ushpizin. Avraham, Yitzchak, Yaakov, Moshe, Aharon, Yosef and Dovid. Each day the parade is led by a different guest. On the first, Avraham, on the second, Yitzchak, etc...
The Ushpizin are proud to visit us but they expect to be treated with hospitality.  How can we do this? The Zohar states that when the Ushpizin come in to our Succah they look to see if we have only prepared Yom Tov for ourselves or have we filled our Succah with others less fortunate.
If we have helped someone else have more joy on Yom Tov then the Ushpizin choose to join us.   If we have only thought of ourselves or our own family then they choose not to stay in our Succah.
Let us all make sure to invite someone who otherwise wouldn't be able to celebrate Yom Tov with us. Then the Ushpizin will be proud to be our guests.
Good Yom Tov
