Practical solutions - Optimising abilities

Issue No. 4
Greetings!

The New Year is now well and truly in full swing and TADNSW is preparing for a big year. In 2010, we celebrate our 35th Anniversary.

We've come
a long way from our humble beginnings as a small group of like-minded engineers wanting to help people with disabilities in a practical way. Today we are a state-wide organisation with 21 staff. Some of our volunteers and supporters have been with us almost the entire time, which has to be a compliment to TADNSW in itself.

This year will be about acknowledging our history but also looking forward and striving to not only maintain, but extend, our level of service.

I hope you enjoy reading about Therese's first bike, our special artwork competition and some of the other ways you can get involved with TADNSW.

An early volunteer

Regards,

Communications Officer

Therese gets her new bikeLast newsletter we mentioned that lots of Freedom Wheels Modified Bikes were being built in time for Christmas and here is one of those stories.

Therese's bike arrived in time for Christmas and the Hills Shire News included a nice little story on her.

The Freedom Wheels Modified Bike Service is in full swing again with assesssment clinics already scheduled in. To find out more about this service, go here.

Communications

TADNSW Artwork CompetitionTo celebrate our 35th anniversary this year, we are planning to launch a commemorative calendar in October.

Each month of the calendar will highlight a different artwork and client story. We are calling out to clients of all ages and their families to show us - creatively - how TADNSW has helped them.

It's nice and flexible too - you can draw, paint, take a photo of something - or perhaps you have an even better idea. Whatever it is, we want you to submit it to us.

Volunteering

Volunteer with TADTADNSW relies upon technically skilled volunteers to build and create each unique project for our clients. If you think you've got what it takes, then check our volunteering section on the website.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to help in a practical way.
