Greetings!
PictureOfDonAmazing, I am finally issuing a newsletter.  I know it has been a long time, but many good things have been happening.  Most import is that my message about the need for better training for production workers in the nonwovens industry is making some inroads.  Not only have I had the opportunity of conducting some classes, but we are hard at work producing computer based training modules for a needlepunch customer.

Have a great day.

Groz-Beckert Training Academy Is Open

This summer, Groz-Beckert opened their new and extensive training academy.  Here is an article about the opening.  Unfortunately they do not yet have very many courses for the nonwovens industry, but hopefully there will be more.  Click on this link to read the pdf describing the course.  This is a fantastic facility and a first class operation.

Andritz buys Asselin-Thibeau

                    Andritz
Asselin-Thibeau is being integrated into the large international conglomerate Andritz.  The Andritz nonwoven division already includes Perfojet (spunlace company)  and Kusters (calendering company).  Here is a list of the machinery Asselin-Thibeau makes.  You can read the press release here.  Asselin-Thibeau already makes some of the finest nonwoven equipment in the world.  This acquisition should enable them to devote even more resources as they continue to improve their equipment and services.
