Greetings!
|

Well I made it through IDEA10 and I am still in one piece. It was a great experience. Wandering around the exhibition floor gave me a real sense of the size and variety of the nonwovens industry. I was very impressed by the wall that displayed the graduate school projects by the students from NC State. They are involved in some very interesting research that will produce new products and processes in the near future. What impressed me most about the show was the number of Asian companies exhibiting. Unless we go to something like IDEA10, those of us in the US tend to think that the nonwoven industry is centered in the US. We need to think globally in terms of markets, vendors, and competition. I spent yesterday tilling and planting my garden, so I have not gone through the big bag of goodies I brought back from the show. I will get into that this week and provide more highlights from IDEA10 in the newsletters over the next few months. It was good to see some of you at the show. Have a great week. e-mail Don |
